Gem is a bright and affectionate 7 year old Sun Conure who truly lives up to his name, he’s a little jewel! Gem started out as a foster bird but quickly stole his person’s heart and became a forever family member. He’s cuddly, loving, and happiest when he can snuggle close or even climb into your shirt for comfort.

While Gem is incredibly sweet, he can be territorial around his cage and protective of his favorite person, especially if someone gets too close. He loves shreddable toys and rope perches, and he enjoys the same tasty treats as his flock; pecans and the “Hot Bombs” from Christine’s Chop Shop are some of his favorites.

Gem prefers women and thrives on gentle handling and affection. He’s ready for a home where he can be someone’s devoted companion and continue to shine as the bright little personality he is.
